Q: What’s your technical background?
A: I have a BSC in electronic engineering and cryptology and spent another 2 years studying computer security. I spend a lot of wasted (in my opinion) money on doing an MCP MCSE and CCNA. After a few years in the royal navy I went into the alarm industry for many years then into technical support and finally Openreach.

Q: What got you interested in the Internet?
A: I got my first computer a Tandy TRS80 when I was around 8 years old. Back then I used telnet and BBS systems (ah good old 12kbs suction cup modem). Since then I have had a passion for electronics and computers. This became more of an obsession when I went to university and was known as "chips"

Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: Mostly running my own small business and helping family members with problems. I don’t have a lot of spare time but the time I do have I like to erm surf.

Q: What do you do to make money (What is your day job)?
A: I work as an Openreach faults engineer and specialist fault finder or SFI's as we are sometimes known. That and running my company dealing with Internet and internal networking/server security.

Q: Why were you chosen to be in the Usergroup?
A: I was invited in as the group thought having an Openreach engineer and security engineer in the group would be a good idea ( haw haw haw suckers :D )
